In order to prevent any delay in studies during the transition from a Bachelor's to a Master's program, the following rules for the different types of students must be observed.
In order to allow for a seamless transition from the Bachelor's to the Master's program, you must take the following steps in the final semester of your Bachelor's program:
Admission to the Master's program is not possible without a Bachelor's degree. However, in this case, it is possible to complete modules from the Master's program in advance.
Students pursuing a major program at our Faculty who are still enrolled at Bachelor's level and have already earned a minimum of 120 ECTS credits from the Bachelor’s study program (e.g., if they must complete their Bachelor's thesis the following semester) may complete a maximum of 30 ECTS credits from the Master's program in advance (compulsory, core elective or elective modules from our Faculty's study programs).
If you are going to graduate from a Bachelor’s degree program and plan to continue your studies in a Master’s degree program, you must submit a request of change of degree program. If you forget to apply for a change from a Bachelor's degree program to a Master's degree program, you might not be able to book Master’s modules.
ATTENTION: Students from other faculties pursuing a minor study program at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics may not complete modules for the minor program at Master's level in advance.
If you were admitted to the Master's program with conditions, you may submit a petition to the examination delegate in your degree program and request to complete Master's modules in advance. This petition may be submitted once you have fewer than 30 ECTS credits in conditions left to complete.
