Admission to the University and acceptance to a specific degree program is managed by the Student Administration Office of the University in collaboration with our Faculty. Depending on the degree level, the procedure varies slightly.
Matriculation refers to the process of enrolling as a student and is thus a prerequisite for studying at UZH (in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program). The enrollment procedure is initiated by submitting an application to the UZH Admissions Office.

Applications to the Master's program are first reviewed by the UZH Admissions Office with respect to the general conditions of UZH and then forwarded to the Faculty (examination delegate) for specialized academic review.
