As of 1 February 2025, Prof. Martin Natter took over as the new head of the Department of Business Administration. He replaces Prof. Egon Franck, who is stepping down after 10 years.
Martin Natter is a professor of Marketing at the Department of Business Administration and has been at the University of Zurich since 2016. Between 1986 and 1991 he studied MIS at University of Vienna. He started his academic career in 1990 as a research assistant at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna. In 1993, he became research assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (VUEBA). He received a doctorate in business administration from VUEBA in 1994. In 1999, he received tenure from VUEBA and became Associate Professor at VUEBA until 2005. From 2005 to 2016 he was at the Hans Strothoff Chair of Retail Marketing at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Prof. Christiane Barz remains the deputy head of the Department of Business Administration.

After ten years as head of the Department of Business Administration, Prof. Egon Franck is stepping down. Prof. Franck, who served as Vice-Rector of the University of Zurich from 2008 to 2012, has headed the Department since 2015. We would like to thank him for his many years of dedicated service.
