Prof. Andreas Fuster joins our Faculty

As of 1 October 2026, we welcome Andreas Fuster as full professor of finance at the Department of Finance. 

Prof. Andreas Fuster studied economics at the University of Lausanne and the University of Oxford. He received his PhD form Harvard University in 2011. He subsequently held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Swiss National Bank. Since 2021, Prof. Fuster has been associate professor of finance at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). 

His research focuses on household and real estate finance, banking, as well as behavioral and experimental economics. A key focus of his work is understanding how technological developments are reshaping credit markets for households.
