13.08.2024Prof. Dr. Hui Chen appointed Vice Dean

Effective 1 August 2024, Prof. Hui Chen succeeded Prof. Uschi Backes-Gellner as Vice Dean for Research, Academic Career Development and Accreditation.

Prof. Chen is a full professor of accounting and joined the University of Zurich in 2014. Her research primarily addresses the economic effects of accounting regulations and practices. Prior to joining UZH, she was an assistant professor of accounting at the University of Colorado. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. 

Reflecting on her new role as Vice Dean, Prof. Chen states, "I am deeply honored to take on the role of Vice Dean at our Faculty. We have an outstanding research community, and my primary goal is to provide the support needed for it to continue to excel. It is particularly important to foster an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration, enabling our young scholars to grow and thrive."
